Diane is a forest
ecologist working for the Forest Service in Oregon. She has a great
interest in tropical biology. She said: "I found the class very challenging, a
lot of information was presented, a lot of keys, the matrix that we
built was quite detailed and allowed us to identify almost every
plant to family and a lot of them to genus". "........The course was not simply limited to plant identification, but we also talked about the different life zones of the plants, the ecology of the plants itself but also some information about the insects, dispersal, pollination and that kind of information". "The organization was good, we stayed in many different kinds of accommodations from rustic lodges to a nice resort, meals were always tasty and sometimes really great, and I guess transportation was excellent too".
